Obtain the existing database connection string from the older version of the SimplePhoto DP2 Bridge. Using File Explorer, go to the C:\Program Files\SimplePhoto\DP2Bridge folder and open the file SPKLab.ini. The last line of the file begins with "ConnString=". The text after "ConnString=" is the database connection string that will need to be used later when setting up the new versions of the SimplePhoto Lab Bridge programs.
Leave the SPKLab.ini file open in Notepad... this will be helpful later during the installation process.
If the zip file contained a folder named "UpdatedFiles-OrderImport": Copy the files in the "UpdatedFiles-OrderImport" folder into the directory where you installed the program, such as C:\Program Files\SimplePhoto\SPKLab2 . When you are prompted, allow the existing files to be overwritten.
Open the Order Import program by either double-clicking the executable in the program files for or by using the Windows Start menu and navigating to "Start -> All Programs -> SimplePhoto -> Order Import".
Click the Settings Icon. Click the "Database Connection String" button in the lower left hand corner. Paste the database connection string obtained in Step 1. Click the "Test Connection" button. If the test is successful, click "Save".
View the settings used for the older version of the DP2 Bridge Order Import program. Open the old SPKLab.ini settings file located in a folder such as C:\Program Files\SimplePhoto\DP2Bridge .
Adjust the Order Import program settings as needed, comparing the old SPKLab.ini file with the new program settings. Most labs will want to update the "Received Orders Folder" and "DP2 Scripts Folder" locations. We recommend leaving other folder locations pointed to the new folders created in "C:\SPLabBridge\".
Process a test order to make sure the program is working as expected.
